Bio
Shreya Sharma works in the Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment (LAE), headed by Prof. John Hansman, associated with the Aeronautics and Astronautics department at MIT. She is broadly interested in understanding and reducing the environmental impacts of the aviation sector. She is currently working on a simplified social cost model of the aviation industry, which can be used to rapidly evaluate the monetary benefits of implementing aviation policies. Her research at MIT spans aircraft emissions, trajectory modeling, chemical transport models, health impacts, and socio-economic modeling. Her doctoral advisor is Dr. Raymond Speth.
