Eric Roy
Doctoral candidate, MIT Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences

Bio
Eric Roy studies the environmental cycling of trace metals including mercury (Hg) and lead (Pb) using computational methods that are driven by observational insights. His research analyzes spatial and temporal variability in existing observational datasets to uncover the relative contribution of physical and chemical processes to atmospheric pollutant loadings and environmental fate. The ultimate goal of this research is to integrate these insights into improved models that can inform policy development and implementation. Eric's advisor is MIT IDSS/EAPS Professor Noelle Selin.
