Bio
Dr. Sai Ravela's research interest is to design methods to better describe the behavior of Stochastic Fields and Processes. He broadly studies Estimation, Control and Information theories, and topics in Statistical Pattern Recognition and Statistical Inference and Learning. His research suggests new algorithms to overcome the curses of nonlinearity, dimensionality and uncertainty, the key characteristics of Earth System problems hindering effective inference. Contributions have been made to Mesoscale Data Assimilation, Storm Tracking, Ecological Informatics, Quantifying Hurricane Risk and Experimental Fluid Dynamics.
