Bio

Jonathan Luaderdale is an environmental scientist with significant interdisciplinary experience in numerical modeling and data analysis at the intersection of ocean biogeochemistry, physical oceanography, and climate. His research aims to unlock the intertwined drivers and reduce uncertainty in ocean circulation and the carbon cycle, which is key to decoding paleoclimate archives, predicting our future climate, and offering solutions to environmental issues that affect people worldwide. Jonathan's work has focused on the interplay between the carbon cycle, trace metal biogeochemistry and climate; the role of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning circulation variability on the North Atlantic carbon sink; and implementing the carbon cycle in a next generation climate model at MIT.
