Bio

Dr. Yuan oversees the U.S. Economic Analysis Project at the MIT Center for Sustainability Science and Strategy. An expert in energy-economic modeling, she specializes in general equilibrium modeling and large-scale general equilibrium model systems for economic assessment of policies in various industries and national and international economies. Dr. Yuan has analyzed US national and regional environmental regulations, the impacts of global environmental policies on the energy market, economic implications of natural gas exports, impacts of lifting oil export bans, strategic implications for major energy players of changes in energy markets, comparisons of global energy and environmental policies, impacts of electric vehicles on electricity systems, and the effectiveness of energy efficiency policies.
