Clement Boucher

Master's degree candidate, ETH Zurich, Switzerland

Bio

Clement Boucher is interested in the intersection of economics, sustainability and innovation, with a focus on the global food system’s environmental and trade dimensions. His research investigates how agricultural production and trade contribute to environmental pressures such as carbon emissions, freshwater depletion, and intensive input use. At ETH Zurich and the Abdul Latif Jameel Water & Food Systems Lab (MIT), he is developing a composite sustainability index, complementary to the Jameel Index, to assess the environmental footprint of global food trade. His work integrates data-driven modelling, policy analysis and systems thinking to inform pathways toward more sustainable and resilient food systems.
